After working in recruitment, training, and international HR at a major retail company, Taro moved to China and worked as an HR consultant, where he was involved in HR systems reform and recruitment services. He later joined Mercer Consulting, providing HR management consulting services to both domestic and international companies. His work included organizational and HR strategies in the context of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), as well as the planning of HR and internal communication strategies aligned with business goals. He also supported the design and implementation of HR systems.
Since joining People Focus Consulting (PFC), Taro has leveraged his fluency in Japanese, English, and Chinese to design and deliver leadership development programs for both Japanese and multinational companies. His work includes assessments, executive coaching, and skills training, as well as facilitation support for senior management meetings. He is also actively involved in PFC’s international volunteer projects in collaboration with UN agencies and NGOs.
He has served as Chair of People Focus Consulting (Shanghai) since 2014.
Taro holds a degree in Business Administration from Konan University and completed a program in International Cultural Exchange at Fudan University in China.
He is a global master trainer of SLII® (Blanchard®), Saville, Lumina Spark , Everything DiSC®, as well as a CTI Professional Executive Coach (Certified Professional Co-Active Coach).
