B Corp

We aspire not to be the best in the world,
but to be a benefit for the world.

About B Corps

Certified B Corps, or Benefit Corporations, are leaders in the global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. B Lab, the organization known for certifying Benefit Corporations, has the unique ability to measure a company’s entire social and environmental impact. B Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials.1

As of April 2022, only six companies in Japan have earned B Corp Certification. PFC is currently working toward earning its B Corp Certification and achieving its aim to be of great benefit for the world.

Our Initiative to Become a B Corp

PFC changed its Articles of Incorporation in 2021 to state that it will become a Benefit Corporation. After extensive planning in 2021 to align our business practices with B Corp Certification requirements, PFC entered the implementation and maintenance phase in 2022. We will continue these business practices regardless of the certification results. You can read more about our B Corp Certification initiative here. (Japanese only)
