Naoko Yamada
Managing Director
As an organizational development consultant, Naoko has over 20 years of experience and a strong track record in the areas of diversity promotion, career development, and leadership development. Guided by the belief that diversity, career ownership, and leadership development form the foundation of sustainable management (as promoted by Certified B Corporations), she focuses on advancing sustainability practices and developing executive leaders.
In her work on diversity promotion, she leads initiatives such as women’s leadership development, managerial awareness and skill-building, and unconscious bias training to help foster inclusive workplace cultures. In addition to developing video-based learning content, she designs training programs and workshops aimed at cultivating inclusive environments—something that cannot be achieved only through self-directed learning.
In the leadership development field, she specializes in the use of psychometric tools to help deepen executives’ self-awareness and strengthen relationships to build healthy and high-performing leadership teams.
In her previous work for the Sony-Ericsson Mobile Communications joint venture in 2001, Naoko led the design and implementation of the HR development scheme for the new company—working to integrate HR systems and competencies and to promote a new organizational culture.
Naoko graduated from Keio University with a BA in human science. She earned an MS in commerce and completed coursework toward a PhD in international business at Waseda University. Naoko also served as a visiting researcher at the University of Reading in the U.K. She is certified in MBTI® , Everything DiSC® Certified Trainer, Saville competency-based assessments and The Leadership Circle leadership tools.
